This page is under construction. In particular, the archive index has broken links which need to be fixed.
In the meantime, you can access the archive by clicking here. You have 3 methods to examine the issues.
You can scroll thru the issues. The issues are stored as PDFs. When you open an issue, the first page will display. You can scroll to subsequent pages. You can also search within the issue for particular text. Look for the 3 dot menu item at the top right (next to download), click on that, and select Find. Or use the keyboard shortcut Cmd-F (Mac) or Ctrl-F (PC).
The index, "- WIRE Archive.pdf" will appear at the top of the list. You can open the index and search it for keywords. The issue ID is indicated like this: "17:03" means volume 17, number 03. The associated PDF will start with 1703. Some of the issues in the index have live links. If you click on the issue number, it will take you to that issue. Until all the links are fixed, however, you may need to scroll thru the issues, find the issue number, and click on it.
You can also search the archive. In the search box, labeled "Search in Drive" you can specify one or more keywords.
A list of issues matching the keyword will appear. When you open an issue, the keywords will be highlighted in blue.
To search for a phrase, enclose it in quotes. Example "Public Safety".
If you know more than one word or phrase that would occur in an article or issue, you can combine them like this:
"Jerome Blue" and "tramway".
By default Google will search any Google Drive you have access to. To limit your search to the WIRE Archive, click on the arrow to the right of the search box. Click on ANYWHERE. From the pop-up menu,, click on the arrow next to "Shared with me" and select "Archive". That will display "Searching in Archive" below the search bar.
