Just down the street from BubbleCool, Island families will soon have a new, dedicated space for the popular Music Together program, run by Owen and Bridget Johnston.
“We are likely finishing up construction this week and moving in somewhere between Saturday and Wednesday,” said Owen of their new space at 507 Main Street.
When completed, the new space, called The Music & Play Station will host music classes, story times, an indoor play area, and birthday parties.
The couple says their plan is to teach Music Together classes in the mornings, and then offer open play for a nominal fee from noon to 4:00 p.m. They will also be starting a new program, called Jump Into a Book, which includes an enhanced story time followed by an art project. Parents will be able to sign up their kids for private lessons in piano and guitar, as well. On the weekends, they’ll host birthday parties.
“This has been a journey of over a year by the time we open our door,” said Owen. “To see everything come to life from what we imagined this space could be and into reality is a truly amazing experience!”
He hopes to host an open house late next week and to begin Music Together classes on October 10.
