To the Editor:
Two new stop signs were installed near the fire station on Main Street, perhaps a month ago. As they are quite important areas, with pedestrian traffic that deserves a stop sign, it would be a good idea for the powers-that-be to formalize the locations with permanent signs on both sides of the road.
Additionally, corresponding white lines should be painted, signaling to drivers they must stop. Unfortunately, many drivers, including myself, often forget that the stop signs are there, placing pedestrians in danger.
