To the Editor:
On Saturday, May 12, the Roosevelt Island Disabled Association & Carter Burden co-hosted a Mother’s Day Brunch at the Senior Center. A four-course luncheon was served by the Girl Scouts and volunteers. It was delicious, and what made it even more delightful was the young girls reading Mother’s Day poems to each table. It concluded with a distribution of cloth bags containing small items to eat or wear.
Thanks to all the people involved who provided such a lovely experience.
